Fired Sheriff Detention Officer Sues County
John Gibson + Associates filed suit against Lubbock County today on behalf of a Lubbock County Detention Officer who was fired for filing a workers compensation claim. The lawsuit claims the officer was accused of criminal allegations as a pretext for firing the officer and that the county failed to follow proper procedure in investigating the allegations because they were nothing more than a pretext for firing the officer. The lawsuit seeks both past and future damages.
