John Gibson Wins Jury Trial for Electrician Who Fell Twenty Feet
John Gibson won a jury trial in Lubbock County District Court today for a man who fell twenty feet and suffered injuries to his ankles and a closed head injury. The insurance company, Texas Mutual Insurance Company, had filed suit against the man, seeking to overturn an award of workers' compensation benefits to the man. Had Texas Mutual Insurance Company won their suit, they could have petitioned the State of Texas to reimburse them all monies expended on the claim from a State fund.
